"To keep us mindful of the great strides that have been made, a couple of special art exhibits were on display just outside of the auditorium. The first was entitled "Opening Doors" by V.L.Cox and involved "seven weathered monochrome wooden doors...unhinged and freestanding" each representing "the protected classes covered by the Fair Housing Act." The second exhibit "UnDesign the Redline" by "Designing the WE" was created to inspire dialogue around policies, practices and investments to help with the housing and socio-economic landscape of America." - Dr. Ben Carson
