When newspapers across the country starting shutting down, original press photo’s hit the vintage market. I’ve been collecting cross burning photo’s, along with any other image I find historical or interesting, for several years now. The entire collection shown here, is currently on exhibit at the Rosa Parks Museum in Montgomery, Alabama.

The framed photos are $900 each, except for the Central High School crisis hanging effigy photograph, which is extremely rare. I will entertain serious offers on it, but there are only three (3) that I’ve seen in existence and mine is the first camera shot where the young man who hung it in the tree is seen suspended in mid-air as he jumps back down. You can see reference to the historical photograph on the Encyclopedia of Arkansas. https://encyclopediaofarkansas.net/media/effigy-hanging-13898/

UPDATE: The Central High photo has since been acquired by a collector.
