A personal journey.

Painted from a photograph of me peeling out of my white sleep shirt after waking up in the morning. The sheets are an American flag, void of color, and the authentic seam is from a vintage flag from the 1960’s. Represents the realization of the depth of my white, queer privilege while sleeping soundly under a flag whose colors run in the streets every single day and have for decades now. It’s time for change.
